Steel Monkeys is a new and ambitious company in the world of gaming, their very first project shows it. The game they are developing is named as “2 Days to Vegas”, a Third person action adventure game. The game will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows. Release dates are not confirmed by the developers, the game may be released for Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows till the end of 2009, year 2010 will see it on PlayStation 3. Nothing is revealed about the system requirements for the PC users, but you can anticipate high system configurations. The reason can be understood from the released screenshots of the game, as they look like the best ever for a game in the genre of action adventure with sandbox style gameplay, presented in a third person shooter perspective.

Story of the game revolves around a guy named Vinny. He is just released from Rickers prison, after three long years of stretch. He wants to live a happy and peaceful life and do not wan to go back in the world of criminals. Unfortunately, his dreams of the peaceful life on the out side and seeing his girl didn’t quite work out as planned. His younger brother Tony is in some serious business and now in serious problem. Vinny has got only 48 hours to go to Vegas and find out the problem and save his brother. In these 48 hours, he will have to travel through various cities of America. 2 Days to Vegas, is a story driven 3rd person action-adventure game. Every minute of the game is thrilling full of shootouts, car chases, car crashes and some unexpected twists. It is enough to keep you to the edge of the seat. All the action in the game is set in several major cities of U.S.A. Story of an ex-criminal blend in breathtaking car chase action and a passionate race against time.

Development of the game dates back in the year 2003. It started in Steel Monkeys studio based in Glasgow, Scotland. Steel Monkeys UK later got shut down because of some unknown reasons. The game was then shifted to in the newly established studio of Steel Monkeys in Minsk, Belarus. A confirmation from Steel Monkeys about 2 Days to Vegas was send to IGN on February 11, 2009. Any recent information from the developers is still to be announced. Late in August 2006, it was announced by Steel Monkeys that, they would be using AGEIA PhysX technology and NovodeX Physics software for the solution of game physics. To create virtual plants in the TPS, Steel Monkeys licensed for SpeesTreeRT SDK of IDV Inc. First screenshots of the game were released at GDC, in the year 2007. After the release of screenshots of it was announced by the owner of the Steel Monkeys that the screenshots are real time not pre-rendered. On January 22, 2008 at the PlayStation Universe’s a two day exclusively program where they revealed another 20 screenshots and new videos of 2 Days to Vegas.

Instead of outsourcing software for MoCap Steel Monkeys, choose to purchase 2 Motion Capture systems. As a substitute of optical systems, Steel Monkeys chose inertial systems from Manufacturers Animazoo. Because of the wireless capabilities with portability Steel Monkeys are free to use everyday surroundings as set, and not going for building sets with restricted stage. Due to the all the technical systems to be used in the game, it will have some awesome features of technology like Mo-cap and animation blending, Point Light, Normal mapping, Fresnel Reflection, Dynamic shadows and special Water Effects.
