Maker’s of City of Heroes, City of Villains and Dungeon Runners presents you a new and exciting MMORPG- Aion: The Tower of Eternity. NcSoft is the name behind these legends of MMORPG. This game is already ready released in Korea, and for the rest of the world it will be released until the end of 2009. Aion is a combination of PvP and PvE in a fantasy dream setting. A widely waited and major feature of the game is the ability of flying; it can be used for reach new areas as well as for aerial combat. With a preview at E3 in May 2006, Ncsoft announced the development of Aion. A close Beta test began in late 2007, with an open beta test in November 2008. Aion was launched in Korea on 25, November 2008.

Aion includes two playable races in the game: The Elyos and the Asmodians. Origin of both the races is same, so they will not be different in appearance. The difference will be their skin color and their wings. Many are assuming theta one race is good and the other is evil, developers are denying the fact. According to them neither of the race is good or bad, however there motives are complex. Elyos is the first playable race they live in the bright part of the earth. Therefore there world is bright, colorful and filled with green plants, lush green woods and tropical beaches. They are lead by five Seraphim Lords, and ultimately ruled by Azariel, Lord of light. Second playable race is Asmodians they are just opposite to the Elyos. They live in the darker part of the land and there vegetation is exotic, they are darker in skin. They are led by five Shedim Lords and ultimately ruled by Asphel Lord of Darkness. Both of the races have common features of growing wings once they turn into a Daeva. But the wings they originates are different Elyos have dove like wings, while the wings of Asmodians are Like Raven.

There are twelve classes in both of the races. Twelve classes are rare to find in Modern MMORPG’s. Each of the races will have slight variation in class skills once they have reach the first promotion at level 10. Higher-level players can adapt their characater to next level. With each profession offering two advanced classes. Like this, there are total twelve available characters types. Each class will have some special power. Either they will specialize in combat fighting, or they will specialize in magic spells.

A heavily modified version of the CryEngine is used in the game. CryEngine was first used developed by Crytek, which is now owned by Ubisoft. Depending on the weapon choosed by you to use, you’ll have access to the weapons skill chains. You can buy skills and they must correspond to a specific slot in the skill chain. However, length of the skill cannot be modified. End of the battle revolves around the battle zone of PvP or Abyss. There many castles in the Abyss which can be controlled by any of the race. The option of fight between two classes of same race is not involved. Those who are controlling the castles will get taxes from other players within the faction of to get special from NPCs. Microsoft Windows is the only platform Aion will be launched.
