
Demon’s Souls or Demonzu Souru is a console role playing game. It is developed by From Software, who recently developed Ninja Blade. Demon’s Souls is developed for exclusively for PlayStation 3. The game is set in the fiction world of Boletaria. It is a kingdom that was destroyed after the appearance of beast and demons. The game features a dark fantasy theme. Demon’s Souls is described as a spiritual successor to the famous King’s Field series of PlayStation 3 consoles. The game is published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Date for the release of the game is North America and Europe is still to be announced. It will be release in single player as well as online multiplayer mode.
There are three versions of the game that are currently available in the market Asian (Korean), Asian (Korean) and Japanese. These versions differ in language, voicework and texts. Story of the game is revolves around King Allanti the twelfth. He is search of power and opulence, controls the power of souls. Thus he brings extraordinary prosperity to his kingdom of Boletaria. Everything was going fine until one day a thick black fog starts covering lands outskirts and cutting the kingdom from outer world. Those who tries top enter the fog never returned back. Vallarfax of the royal Twin Fangs broke free from the fog and tells the world of Boletaria about the dilemma. The aging King Allanti in order to save the world awakens the Old One, the greatest beast below Nexus, from the eternal chamber of the demon. And also to fight the fog he also awakens the soul craving demons. They are the one that lost their souls along with their mind. As time passed by the situation grew into chaos with mad attacking sane. The demons stronger and powerful with each soul they eat greedily. Legends are told from men to men about the powerful warriors who entered the cursed land but never returned back.

Main land of the Demon’s Soul is Kingdom Boletaria. Nexus is a hub world that takes place between missions, its small town like area. Player can shop, interact with NPCs and store equipments. With the help of portals the actual game world is divided into five worlds. From the five worlds first is Boletaria Palace, ruins where Boletaria rulers used to live once. Second is a tunnel known as Stonefang Tunnel, it dwarven mine, now run by corrupted by and overrun by goblin like creatures. Tower of Latria is the third world, its dark abandoned prison tower. Halls of the prison are haunted and pursued by Cthulhu-inspired guard. A Cliffside ruin named Shrine of Storms is the nest world, it crawled by dead flying creatures known as Strom Beasts. Last and the final world is the most unsafe of them all. It is known as Valley of Defilement, a deep canyon in the centre of the Earth full of poisonous snakes, leeches trolls and sheer drops. You can explore any of these locations in any order.
The game features an open-ended dark fantasy action RPG. Just like the most of the RPG games you will be able to customize many features. These include setting gender, hair style, character and others. You will be using many kind of weapons as the beast you will face in the game will be many time larger then you. One best feature of the gameplay of the game is the alteration of gameplay according to the weapon you are using. There are ten different classes in the game to choose from each of them will have different starting attributes. Some of the classes are: Priest, Knight, Thief, Magician, Soldier, Wanderer, Royal, Hunter, Barbarian, and Temple Knight.
Co-operative mode for the game can hold upto three players. In the educational mode or messaging mode players can leave advice and hints in the game for the other players. In additional to that to make game look competitive a player can force another gamers world and play as an opponent. An 192 pages softcover book was released on 2009/4/2. The guide is known as “Demon’s Souls Official Perfect Guide.” The book was published by Enterbain. The guide contains everything about the game starting from data over weapon armor, items and secrets and map.
