A new game for the Halo series is under development, this news is enough to excite all the gamers around the world. Halo series is one most the best selling series. One thing to be noted is that the Halo series is just 8 years old and only have three games released so far. Three previous games of the series are Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3. The games of the series are famous for giving the First person shooter genre a completely new direction. Third game of the series Halo 3 is registered as best sales by any media release in first twenty-four hours. Fourth game of the main trilogy Halo ODST is under development and is named Halo: Reach. Other than three games of the main trilogy, three are two other games in the series, making it a five game series. So, Halo: Reach will be the sixth game in the Halo series. Release dates are not confirmed, but according to the developers Halo: Reach is scheduled to release in Fall 2010. Halo: Reach will be developed by Bungie and will be published by Microsoft Games Studio. It will release for the consoles of Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360.

Halo: Reach is a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. It will take place between Halo: The Fall of Reach and Halo: First Strike. These are science fiction novels based on the Halo series. In the game many Spartan-II are still operating. The colony Reach is under the attacks by the Covenant battleships orbiting the planet. All these events are shown in the officially released trailer of the game. Halo: Reach was announced officially on June 1, 2009 at the Microsoft E3 2009. one more thing that was announced alongwith the games announcement was that an invitation would be available to the open multiplayer beta of the game to those who purchase Halo 3: ODST. Few screenshots of the game are also released. People from all over the world are waiting for the game and soon you will find it on the top spot of the most awaited games. Gamers wait is little long but the game is too good.
