Homefront is long awaited game by Kaos Studios, who are famous for their 2008 game Frontlines: Fuel of War. Homefront will be published by THQ. The game will be played from a first person shooter prospective. The game is written by John Milius, famous for writing scripts of movies like Apocalypse Now, Conan the Barbarian, Red Dawn. The game will be release for the platforms of Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Scheduled release date for the game is March 27, 2010. Homefront will release in two modes: single and multiplayer. The game engine used in the game is Unreal Engine. Any system requirements are still to be announced from the developers.
Gameplay of the game is almost similar to Frontlines: Fuel of War, previous game of the Kaos Studios. Many of the game models are taken from the Frontlines: Fuel of War, as shown in the first trailer of Homefront. Some of the game models to feature in Homefront are AA Rocket Launcher and Red Star Alliance Jeep, both of them can be found on the Hindsight map of Frontlines: Fuel of War. These maps were released in the game third and final patch 1.3.0. The game is based in the year 2027 and after suffering a decade long energy crisis, finally nations are falling. Most of the economics of the world are collapsing. United States of America, one time super power is not more than a shadow. This is a great chance for North Korea long time enemies of America and they target an American takeover. From a pleasant and developing country, America is forced into a battleground. American suburbs, malls and city streets are filled with civilian resistance fights for freedom. Homefront promise to submerge gamers in a cinematic and interactive First person shooter experience. Players will be given a chance to take command of wide range of ground and aerial vehicles or assume an infantry role. In a land stripped of freedom, the brave will fight for their home.
