Infinite Space known as mugen kouro in Japanese is an upcoming game of science-fiction role-playing genre. It is developed by PlatinumGames for the Nintendo DS. It is planned for release in the spring of 2009 in Japan and North America. After the announcement of the game it was known as Infinite Line. The game still retains the Japanese that can be translated as “Infinite Line” or “Infinite Course.”

Infinite Space is a science fiction role-playing video game. It allows players to take control of spaceship. It is different from other such games like Starcraft because you have to control the ship as well as design it. There are over 150 models of ship that can be used to design the ship. Along with the spaceship you can also chose over 150 crewmembers. Once you finished the design of the spaceship you can explore an expansive game world with a story spanning two galaxies. Characters seen in the game will be displayed in 2D, while exploration, battles and ships will be shown in 3D.

The player navigates the ship using the Nintendo DS touchscreen. First you have to choose a destination, then engaging the engine to move towards that destination. Spaceship battles will take place in real-time, with attacks utilizing a “command gauge” feature. A player can use the command gauge once it builds up. Using the command gauge player can perform various tasks like attacking enemy ships. The rate of command gauge refilling will directly depend on the crew. A multiplayer option is also involved in the game. There will be a spaceship battle mode for the multiplay. Multiplay option can be used in local Wi-Fi connection. Infinite Space is based on the novel Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke. The plot of the game is divided into two main storylines. One of them follows the life of a young crewman named Yuri who works to become a spaceship captain, and the other focuses on very high level science fiction stuff. Main motive of the player is to keep the spaceship and the crew safe. With the help of the story player will discover humanity’s role in the universe.
