Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Monster Hunter is the best selling game for Sony’s PlayStation Portable and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is the new installment. It was released in Japan on March 27th 2008 as an expansion to the original Monster Hunter Freedom 2. It was released in Japan as the name of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is still waiting to be released in the main market of gaming United States and Europe. Release dates for the release date for the game in U.S. and Europe are June 23 and June 30 2009 respectively. It was announced in Tokyo Game Show that the game would be released in United States by the name of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Release dates were not revealed that time only Spring 2009 was announced. Release date of June 23 was specified at 2009 GDC (Game Developers Conference). Demo for the North American release is expected to be released few weeks before the game releases in America. In Japan the game comes with a special two pouches of different size, a strap and a decorated brown or bronze PSP. For the people who ordered the game in advance, they received a black hairy strap, indicating that the hair on the strap are of monster of the game Narugakuruga. The game will be released in the genre of action role-playing game. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is developed and published by Japanese gaming giants Capcom. Yasunori Ichinose & Shinji Imai has served as the game designers of the game.
The third installment of the Monster Hunter series for PSP is expected to feature more equipment, missions and monsters than the previous Monster Hunter Freedom 2. To help you against the Monsters a felyne knight is involved in the game. The game is believed to be the longest and biggest titles till date for PSP. According to the developers the game never “technically” ends. The limit of holding equipments is also increased. A player can now hold up to 99 of each item in your box, store up to eight equipments pages instead of six, store up to 20 equipment sets. There is a possibility of 10 or more new features for the game.
All new Adhoc Party function was included for the game on November 6, 2008. By using Adhoc Party beta version of a new online service will allow voice chat through the PSN (PlayStation Network) and a LAN connected wi-fi capable PlayStation 3. It was made available for the customers in Japanese PlayStation Store. The Adhoc Party for the PSP beta version is compatible with Monster Hunter Portable 2nd and G. The Japanese version of the game was proved a massive hit. The game sold 690,000 copies on its day of release and in the first week it sold more than 1.5 million copies. According to the Capcom’s US blog the game lowered the productivity of Japan during the day. According to Famitsu, the game has sold 2,300,505 copies in Japan till July 9, 2008.
