Postal III
Most violent game of the gaming world id coming back to thrill you, those with a weak heart stay away from it. Postal series is considered as the most violent gaming series by many game experts, Postal III will be third installment in the series. Postal is often called as seriously violent, plain violent and comically violent series. Postal III will be a third person shooter. It is developed by Arizona based company Running With Scissors. It will be released in North America somewhere near Q4 of the year 2009. Postal III will be released for both PC and consoles. It will be released on Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Linux, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PlayStation 3 port was announced in the later stages of development, that’s why it may be released shortly after the initial release. The game was initially announced to be released as Postal III: Catharsis, but on October 18, 2006 it was changed and finalized to Postal III.
Just like it predecessor Postal II, the game will follow the sandbox-style design. One of the main feature of the previous game motion captured performance by wide range of celebrities will also return to the game. Celebrity list will include Playboy Playmates and film stars. There are reports of Uwe Boll director of the series will also appear for the first time. Postal III will be released in single and multiplayer mode. The Postal dude travels to the Paradise’s sister town of Catharsis. Postal III, will follow the same legacy of Postal series, however it differs from its predecessor in some regions. First being it will use Source game engine instead of Unreal engine used in Postal II. Postal III will be an Third person shooter whereas Postal II is a First Person Shooter; this makes gameplay of the two games completely different from each other.
First footage of the game was released at E3 2008, revealing some new as well old weapons. New weapons featuring in the game are Nail Bat, M60 machine gun and “The Badgersaw.” Old weapons returning to the game are matches and gas can. A new and strange weapon for the Postal Dude is a lab tested monkey which will react to a laser from Postal dude. According to the Product manger Mike Jaret Postal III will feature special vehicles. Lead your gun toting character towards a variety of different life paths. Like an activist gone eco-terrorist, a presidential candidate and a serial killer. Life paths of the protagonist are strange and evil. Experts are commenting that use Source engine is the power backing the game’s politically incorrect virtual violence and social spoof.
