Yet another Punch-Out!! Game is under development. Punch-Out!! Series is one of the most famous series in the Sports genre. Punch-Out!! is placed with Sports Game series like Madden NFL and FIFA. Punch-Out!! will be the sixth game in the series. It will be a remake of the Punch-Out!! for NES. It will feature new as well as old characters, a bit deeper storyline and many new moves. Canadian Developers Next Level Games are developing the game and the game will be published by Nintendo. Punch-Out!! was first revealed at Nintendo’s conference on October 2, 2008. The game is fixed for the release on May 18, 2009 for North America and May 22, 2009 for Europe. Punch-Out!! will be released with single-player, two-player and multiplayer versions.

Glass Joe, Von Kaiser, and King Hippo all returned to the game as the opponents of the Minor Circuit, with a new opponent named Disco Kid. Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Nintendo of America Charlie Scibetta confirmed on October 9^th about the use of motion control in the game. It was also announced by the Nintendo America that Wii Remote will be used on its side. It will be one of the exclusive game to use Wii Balance Board, so who is looking to use the amazing Wii balance board. Previous games of the Punch-Out!! series lacked the feature of unlockables, so this time many likeable are included. Some of the known unlockables for the game are “new ring environment, new characters, challenges, victory animations, e.t.c.” Punch-Out!! is the first game that caused problems for an internal Nintendo dev team. The problem was related to the space on the Wii DVD. But the developers announced that there will be a lot of unlockables. Game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who is famous for work on Mario and Zelda series will serve as the game producer.

There will be new as well as old characters in Punch-Out!!. Characters announced that are returning to the game are Don Flamenco, King Hippo, Von Kaiser, Glass Joe, and Bear Hugger. Disco Kid will be the new character featuring in the game. he will be the new opponent for Minor Circuit. In addition to that Micro Kid can change Giga Mac in the Head-to-Head mode. Punch-Out!! will be the first game of the series with three different game modes as single-player, two-player, and multiplayer. Multiplayer and the two-player mode are new to the Punch-Out!! series. The multiplayer mode will feature in split-screen head-to-head view and will be played between two little macs. If one of the player gains enough power he can transform into ‘Giga Mac.’ The game continues into the single player mode in the regular single player view, as the Little Mac tries to overcome the bigger and more powerful Giga Mac.
