Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time or Ratchet & Clank: A Crack as it known in most of the regions. An upcoming game under the development of Insomniac Games, one who are famous the Resistance series. The game will be published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It will be an installment in the Ratchet and Clank series and sequel to the Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty. The game will be released under the genre of platforms-shooter and adventure. Ratchet and Clank is scheduled to release in 3^rd or 4^th quarter of year 2009 on PlayStation 3. The game will use Insomniac Engine v.4.0.

As it is direct sequel to Quest for Booty, story if the games continues from where Quest for Booty ends. It will follow Ratchet continuing his search for Clank, he was kidnapped by some mysterious Zoni. All these events took place in Tools of Destruction. On the other hand Clank is searching for Ratchet, having apparently escaped the hands of Zoni. Doctor Nefarious, who served as main antagonist of Up Your Arsenal has been revealed to have masterminded Clank’s disappearance. He will be the main villain of the game.

The title of the game along with logo and trailer all three were revealed at the 2009 Game Developers Conference. Trailer was the main attraction at the conference, narration of time and a new character called as Lombax Character. Appearance of this Lombax is gray and silver hairs and red fur as opposed to Ratchets brown and tan coloration. He shown holding a watch which contains an image of himself with a Lombax who looks like Ratchet. Fans have wondering the new character as that he may be Ratchet’s Father or some elder from the ancient Lombax city on Fastoon, Which Ratchet saw in Tools of Destruction. At the GameTrailers pre-E3 2009 special it was announced that the new character is named General Alistar Azimuth. Generals’ name relates him to the Court of Azimuth level in Tools of Destruction. Later on PlayStation blog it was announced that a contest for designing weapons is running till April 10 and the wining design will feature in the game as usable weapon. Other than that a real life replica being made for the winner and he will be awarded a trip top Comic-Con for weapons public unveiling. Scheduled to release on December 2, 2009 action figures were also announced.
