Resident Evil is coming to the Wii its another good news fro Wii users. As we discussed in another post that is Wii is targeting hardcore gamers in order to increase the fan base. This strategy includes releasing games from the genres like First person shooter and shoot ‘em up. The game is named as Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and in Japan by the name of Biohazard: The Darkside Chronicle. It will be released in the genre of on-rail shooting game exclusively for Wii. The game is jointly developed by Capcom and Cavia. Major part of the game is based in the Raccoon City, leaving only few areas like Rockfort Island. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles will employ Havok Engine as the game engine. Havok Engine will help the game to enhance the survival horror settings. There will be only two playing modes in the game Single player and two-player co-op, multiplayer mode is not included in the game. All the main designers for the game already worked for the franchise on the previous games.
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is basically a game reformed from the previous game segments of the series, with some new events also included. It will cover the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Leon S. main protagonist for nearly every game of the Resident Evil series will continue to be the protagonist for Darkside Chronicles. Leon will be supported by female protagonist of the game Claire Redfield. The Code: Veronica segment will give payers a chance to play as Claire together with Steve Burnside. Although the game will be a remake, there will be some unseen or never seen before aspects of the series storyline top be explored. One of famous protagonist of the game Albert Wesker will make an appearance in one of the flashback of the game. In order to give the game a new look with carrying the basics of the series many characters of the series are included in the game, like Sherry Birkin and Ada Wong.
It is exciting to play games from the action genres with the help of wireless Wii remotes. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles will be an on-rail on shooters game. When you are playing in the co-op mode, the player’s partner is seen on the screen during the gameplay. Capcom indicated that the game is different from The Umbrella Chronicles, by commenting that they want the game to give the payers a new experience. Surprisingly going against the policy of less violence Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles supports more horror then the previous games. These horror settings will be enhanced with the help of Havok Physics. One more important AI feature of the game is adjustment of the difficulty level automatically depending on the skills of the player. One thing that makes The Darkside Chronicles different from other on-rails shooters is the feature of evading attacks. Players now can enjoy giving the damn zombies headshots easily, because of the use of Wii remotes. Camera view in the game is more vibrating, you will find zombies coming from every direction, and your partner is in danger. With all these elements Capcom, hopes Darkside Chronicles will give awesome results and try to confine the spirit of on-rail shooters.
