Resonance of Fate is another console role playing game in the, the genre that has gave us games like Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy and Pokémon. In Japanese the game is known as End of Eternity. It is developed by Tri-ace and will be published Sega. The platforms it will be released are PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Developers are not considering Wii, a much famous console because there are already many role playing games released for Wii. It will be released under the genre of Sci-Fi/Fantasy RPG. Resonance of Fate will be released somewhere in Q4. The developers Tri-ace stated that the game is completed by 65%.

The game starts in distant future; Earth is suffering drastic Environmental changes. Why nobody knows, reasons are unknown. A poisonous layer pervaded the land and this leads to taking mankind on the Edge of extinction since they are not able to adapt to the new changes. To survive remaining humans built a gigantic device called Basel, its cleans the surrounding air and thus the environment. Civilizations starts to build around Basel, with building a city around the Basel. High class lives on the apartments built on the top of the Basel and lower class is living in the districts build around the base. Everything goes well for many years until one day, when humans discovers that the Basel is not working right.

There will be three main characters in the game as:

Zephyr – he is 17 years old and serves as the main protagonist of the game. He is an orphan and rose in childcare facilities. His outlook for the world is tough, as he believes there is no God. He meets Vashyron in his late teens, while working for a Private Military Firm (PMC), beginning his life as a mercenary soldier. In the release screenshots of the game he seen carrying two sub-machine guns.

Vashyron – 26 years old man, he served for the army and later opened his own PMC for living. He meets Zephyr on an mission of suppressing teenage rioters, and inviting him to join his company. He is a survivor during his military days, as all of his squad members were killed. It looks like he prefers handguns.

Subject 20 – A 19 years old girl who is born and raised in research facility. The name 20 is given to her because of the experiments on her. Her body is biologically programmed to expire on her 20^th birthday. After knowing this she escapes the facility, intending to defy her inevitable fate.

The promotion for the game is started on April 1^st 2009. Tri-ace released a teaser with countdown timer leading to the next week. Resonance of Fate was slated to consoles of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as a new RPG. Before any news release further by Tri-ace it was revealed on Famitsu that the game will be named as End of Eternity in Japanese. For the first time Tri-ace and Sega are coning together for a game. Takayuki Suguro will be the direct the game. he previously worked for Tri-ace on projects like Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, and Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. Not to create a confusion with the Isaac Asimov’s science fiction novel of the same name games title was changed.
