Soul series is a fighting game series, but slightly different from other fighting game series like Tekken, Street fighter and Mortal Kombat. Unlike other fighting series, characters of Soul were unique in fighting as using different weapons instead of bare hands. Most of the time these weapons include Blades and Swords. Other fighting game characters usually have unique fighting style but here in Soulcaliber they will have unique style comnbined with a unique weapon. Since the release of first Soul game back in 1996 there are six full games released in the series so far on nearly every gaming platform. Only gaming platform lacking any Soul game is PSP (PlayStation Portable). PSP lacks good games and in order to increase the sales Sony in trying more and more games on this seventh generation hand held console.

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny will be first game on PSP and seventh over all game for the Soul series. Most of the features of the game are said to be inspired from Soulcaliber IV. The game will be developed by Namco’s Project Soul team and published by Namco Bandai. Fist announcements for then game were made by Namco Bandai on April 28, 2009. The famous feature of the series character customization will be there in the game. Confirm release date for the game is September 30, 2009. Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny will have both single and multiplayer modes. According to the developers one of the main goal of the game is to “target novice players and beginners with Soulcaliber IV features”

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny will include more than 30 characters. This list of thirty characters is still to be revealed. Although Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is based on the features of Soulcaliber IV it will lack Star Wars guest characters. The new gust character will be Kratos from the famous God of War series developed and published Sony. All the announcements for the new character were made 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game is highly awaited in the fans of Soul series and specially for the PSP users as the games on the PSP are limited. The game is loaded with some awesome features like head-to-head multiplayer mode, some most exciting visual and challenging and tough single player modes. All the above mentioned features make it must-have fighting game.
