
Team Meat’s Flash game Meat Boy was a hit from the day one itself. After the success of the flash game Team Meat, decide to go for the other professional gaming platforms. On the platforms of Wii and Microsoft Windows Meat Boy will be released as Super Meat Boy as a Platform Game. The game is designed by Tommy Refenes and Edmund McMillen. Release dates are not confirmed but the game may be release until Q4 2009. The game will be released in single player and multiplayer mode. For the multiplayer mode on Wii, the game will be released as a product of WiiWare.
Basics of the game will be same as that of the Flash version. Player will seek the role of a small-animated cube of meat who must save his girlfriend Band-Aid Girl from the evil Dr. Fetus. There will be more than 100 unlockable content in the game. Other then single player mode there will be versus mode, multiplayer co-op mode and the most exciting a four player party mode. Multiplayer mode of the game will also feature playable characters from other independent games. In order to unlock these characters player must have to collect Band-Aids in the single player mode of the game. The four player party mode is the most awaited and exciting of all the modes, according to the developers.

Wii has proved itself as the best console of the seventh generation selling over more than 30 million pieces. The reason was the games on Wii are violence free and parents have no problem allowing there children to play games on Wii. Super Meat Boy is an example of typical Wii game without violence and lots of fun. Nintendo requested the game on WiiWare in order to promote the online play on Wii. Nintendo was impressed by the success of previous Meat Boy title and Team Meat’s Flash Game Aether. The developers explained that the game will be a big throw back to a lot of super hardcore Nintendo titles like Mega Man, Ghosts ‘n Goblins and the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2. The plot of the game looks like a mash-up of every videogame story from early 90s. First unlockable character of the multiplayer mode was announced by Team Meat in early April 2009, the character will be the protagonist from Braid. Later in May 2009 in an interview with TWGNews, Alex Neuse and Mcmillen of Gaijin Games announced about their second unlockable player. It will be commander Trip from the Bit Trip series. Get ready for the ultimate meat boy to get you off your seat and wait until the year’s end.
