One of the most notorious characters in  the gaming world are Rabbids, a rabbit look alike creatures. After enjoying success in many Rabbids game like Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, an all new installment in the series is Rabbids Go Home. Just like the previous games of the series Rabbids Go Home is a action adventure platform game. The game is developed by Ubisoft Montepellier and will be published by Ubisoft. Only difference between the other games of the series and Rabbids Go Home will be it will not feature Rayman. So it will be the first game without Rayman in the series. There are news that the game will be released for the Christmas, but few game sites are claiming that the game will release on October 27, and November 6, respectively for North America and European Union. However any such news are still to confirmed by Ubisoft. Game director Jacques Exertier confirmed in an interview that Rayman will return for more action adventure games.

After partying like hell for years Rabbids are tired of it and want to go home. Only trouble is that they don’t know where they come from. They have forgotten that are like ordinary rabbits living in the ground as shown in Rayman Raving Rabbids. First destination came to the Rabbids clueless mind is Moon. They need something to go to moon. Two Rabbids take the responsibility and they start building a junk to get to the moon. Rabbids Go Home will be released on Wii and Nintendo DS. The game will use LyN engine as the game engine. LyN is exclusive game engine by Ubisoft. Only other games to use LyN are Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Red Steel 2. Single player and multiplayer will be the two modes of the game. Michel Ancel is the main designer for the game. Its not far away when we can lay our hands on the notorious Rabbids, in a different way as leading them to their home moon ( as far as they thought about it).

Red Steel 2 an upcoming game under the development of Ubisoft Paris. Red Steel 2 is a direct sequel to the 2006 game Red Steel. Just like its sequel Red Steel 2 is a game from First person shooter, where player can use gun and a katana sword alternatively. The game is designed to be played on Nintendo Wii. Red Steel 2 will be published by Ubisoft. Releases dates are not sure but the game may release early in the year 2010. Only playable mode in the game will be single player. Red Steel 2 will use a special game engine developed by Ubisoft known as LyN engine. LyN is designed to act effectively on both old and next generation equally. Other games to use LyN engine are Rabbids Go Home and Beyond Good & Evil 2. LyN specially suits Wii as it helps in maximizing graphic capabilities without limiting the imaginations of the developers using it. In April Ubisoft revealed in a press release that game’s story is based in a high tech, desert bound metropolis. The Swordsman is the name if the main protagonist of the game. He will be a silent character and a member of a clan called “The Protectors”. According to a prequel in the game all the members of the group were killed while saving The Swordsman. As the last surviving Protector, The Swordsman sets off on a revenge for his fallen clan.

Red Steel’s development started in summer of 2008 and on July 28 the same year existence of Red Steel 2 was confirmed by Alain Corre, executive director of Ubisoft. Red Steel will also use Nintendo’s new accessory Wii MotionPlus. It is said by the developers that Wii motion plus create a strong single player experience. Multiplayer was not considered as the part of the game, because Ubisoft believed it would distract player from enjoying the single player in Wii gameplay. Instead of using more realistic graphics, Red Steel will use stylized cel-shaded graphics. Visuals are styled like XIII Ubisoft’s own game released in the year 2003. As the game will release on the family console Wii, it will not include bloodshed in the game. Ubisoft is aiming for ‘T’ rating for Red Steel 2. Red Steel 2 will be played in the First person shooter perspective just like Red Steel. Player can alternate between sword fighting and shooting. At their disposal players will have both gun and katana and they can switch them at any point. As you will progress further in the game you will receive new abilities and weapons, which you can either earn or purchase.

Beyond Good & Evil is back this time on the seventh generation consoles. Beyond Good & Evil 2 or BG&E2 is an upcoming game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will be the Third game for the Beyond Good & Evil series. It is designed by Michel Ancel creator of the original game and is developed by his team at Ubisoft Montpellier. BG&E2 will be published by gaming giants Ubisoft. First game of the trilogy Beyond Good & Evil was a critical hit, but it was not able to gain commercial success. BG&E2 was not in news for several years until it was revealed at Ubidays 2008 in Louver Paris, France, on May 28, 2008. Just like the first game of the series it will be an action-adventure game. This time there is no news of a Windows version.

According to Michel Ancel he wrote the story of BG&E2 long before the release of the first game of the trilogy. However the game was not released earlier due to the bad sales of the first game, Ubisoft was not interested to invest in the game. First hints for the game was given by Michel Ancel in an interview with Nintendo Power. He stated that he is working on title that means a lot to him. Jade main protagonist of the previous game was said to be continue her personality and values. There were many false rumors about the release of the game until May when Ubisoft announced BG&E2.

The cast is unknown for the game, whether the original cast of the game will continue is also uncertain. Christophe Héral who wrote the original score for the previous game will returns for BG&E2. Ancel had stated that about 10-12 people are working for the title. To make sure the game doesn’t suffers commercial failure like the previous game, BG&E2 is said to be more appealing. According to Yves Gullemot, Ubisoft CEO, they targeted the game for both casual gamers as well as for core gamers, unlike the Beyond Good & Evil part I which was targeted for core gamer only. Nothing is revealed about the game by the developers. But according to Ancel the game will continue the legacy of the first game, there will be lots of emotions in the gameplay, and variety in levels.

Fist time the game was described Ancel in an interview with a French magazine Jeux Video Magazine. He stated that the game was in pre-production state for almost an year before being approved by Ubisoft. A few weeks a later a teaser of the game totally recorded in the game’s engine was shown at Ubidays. The trailer shows a Hovercraft like vehicle resting on the side of a road in a desert. Pey’j one of the supporting character of the previous is sitting beside the vehicle. A woman who resembles Jade is sitting on the trunk in the background.
