Kirby is one of the most famous platforming video game. It is developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for Nintendo’s Wii video game console. Originally, it was planned to launch the game for Nintendo GameCube. Details about the game are sketchy and the game is still to be announced officially. Currently Kirby is scheduled to be released in North America and Japan. Kirby also used the Super Smash Mario Bros Melee engine.

According to the screenshots, released levels in Kirby were rendered in 3D, but the gameplay is side scrolled. Gameplay of Kirby is like Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. A new attack system, in this attack mode Kirby can ride on the back of up to three order characters. This technique was not used since Kirby’s Dream Land 3. Just like the Kirby Super Star Kirby can receive abilities from friends or foes. Another feature, which is back from Kirby: Squeak Squad and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror is multiple moves for certain ability. Kirby will support upto four players in multiplayer mode.

For the first time the game was announced at E3 2005. The game platform considered that time by the developers was Nintendo GameCube. After its announcement, however very little information was revealed about the game and soon it was revealed that the game will be released for the Wii. On May 26, 2006, IGN released an article stating the release of a generically labeled Kirby Legend of the stars. The article was based on the information found in a recent Japanese release list found on Nintendo’s corporate site. Few months later on September 14, 2006, a game titled Kirby of the Stars appeared on the list of upcoming games for Wii. Later in December that year, it was removed from the list of GameCube releases. It did not appear on the list of the Wii games.

Kirby is gone more powerful this time. Over Twenty-one powers have been confirmed for the game. These powers include Bomb, Beam, Bubble, Cutter, Clean, Fighter, Hammer, Fire, Ice, Plasma, Parasol Stone, Sword, Tornado, Wheel, and Wing and Water Kirby (an ability only seen in the Kirby anime and as a glitch in Kirby’s Adventure possibly). Most of these abilities will have new hats. The helper system from Kirby Super Star was to be reinstated with the ability to have up to three helpers.

Duke Nukem Forever or DNF is the name of upcoming first person shooter. It is under development of 3D Realms. All the Duke Nukem franchise games are produced or published by 3D Realms. The Game follows Duke Nukem 3D as the next game is 3D realms’ Duke Nukem series and is directed by one of the creators of the original Duke Nukem game, George Broussard. Any released date is not set for the game by 3D Realms; instead they stated that the game will be released once it’s finished. DNF was announced back in 1997. But release of the game has been postponed on various occasions.

Presented through newly released footage and screenshots plot of the game looks interesting. 3D Realms released trailers at the 1998 and 2001 E3 conventions and screenshots between those years. DNF has undergone various changes since its last trailer was released. The 2001 trailer shows an alien invasion in Las Vegas. Duke was shown fighting with various weapons. Duke fights various aliens in many areas like mine, some rural areas, on water, indoor areas, and on streets of Las Vegas. However later in 2003, the 3D Realms cleared that the screenshots are no longer part of the game. In 2008 Miller confirmed that DNF features a retired Duke, who owns a club known as “The Lady Killer,” which comes under attack from aliens.

Duke Nukem Forever was officially announced on April 28, 1997. A license was also purchased to use Quake II engine. Intentions were to release the game no later than MID-1998. Original prototype work started on the game as early as January. First screenshots of the game were released in PC Gamer, in the November issue. But 3D Realms didn’t receive the Quake Engine II codes until November 1997. In June 1998 3D realms shifted to Epic’s Unreal Engine. Fans were worried about the game as switching the game engine will take more development time, thus delaying game further. The developers said that switching engine will not take more than a month to six weeks and DNF would be ready for the release till 1999.

In 2002 team of DNF hired new programmers and completely rewrote the renderer and other game engine modules, beginning work on a new generation of game content. 95% of the previous level design work was scrapped in the process. Again developers promised that the new game will take about two years to be shipped with UT based version of the game. The current game engine supports features such as normal mapping, pixel shading, and high dynamic range based lighting. On September 14, 2004 it was reported that 3D Realms had replaced Karma physics engine with one designed by Meqon. In latest news about the game George Broussard posted in his Twitter account that “Game developers often say ‘Cutting is shipping.’ We begin this year with a vengeance and a chainsaw. This indicates that the game will most probably release at the end of 2009. On March 9, 2009 the site www.dukeisback.com was registered and updated with duke nukem pics suggesting a 2009 release date. Once completed it will be released for Microsoft Windows.

ArmA2 is a simulation game for the PC. Very rare games are developed in this genre. It will be released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It is developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio and will be published by 505 Games. It is the next game in the series of Operation Flashpoint following the ArmA: Armed Assault. Officially the game was announced on August 22, 2007 at Games Convention in Leipzig. Release of the game is expected to be in 2009.

ArmA 2 is set in the year 2009 in a fictional post soviet country known as Chenarus. Literally the name Chenarus means Black Russia, opposite to Belarus which means white Russia. The developers Bohemia revealed at E3 that the game will have a “roleplaying feel to it” with in-game events affecting your character as well as the entire campaign. An example is like terrorizing noncombatants and losing their trust. They thus give away valuable information to enemy forces. In a recent interview by BI representative stated that a map of 240 square kilometer area has been developed.

ArmA 2 will feature a fictional post soviet country called Chenarus. The country is in political unrest with a western backed democratic government trying to hold onto power from pro Communist forces. After many months of civil war the Communist forces failed to over throw the current government and set up the Social Republic of Chenarus. The remaining democratic forces ask west for help and the United States of America send the United States Marine Corps and a carrier force to anchor off the Chenarus coast. The game starts when US Special forces team “Razor” lands in Chenarus to try and quell the civil war.

There are lots of new features included in the games. Many of them are announced by the developers are:

• The editor will have a 3D mode
• There will be a ‘micro’ AI which will be able to move more precisely through the environment.
• Over 50 weapon types.
• A New view called High Level command will allow the player to command his troops in an RTS style.
• There will be 50 vehicles, but different vehicle types (Humvee, Humvee M2, Humvee TOW, etc) In total there are 120 different types of vehicles.
• Six different factions.
• Every building will be destroyable in some way.
• Civilian units.
• The ability to interact with civilians and other units around you.
• Dual core optimised
• Ability to drag and carry wounded men
• The Chernarus landscape is based heavily on the Czech Republic, the home country of developer – Bohemia Interactive Studio

ArmA 2 will make use of many high standard technology. The game engine is also much powered then the previous game ArmA. Many new features of the game are Multicore support, Parallax occlusion mapping, Micro AI, Dynamic shadows. ArmA 2 uses a game engine that have been under development for nearly 10 years and used by many armies round the globe. ArmA 2 will support both DirectX9 and DirectX10 graphics cards. The Xbox 360 version may be release around 30^th June 2009.

Maker’s of City of Heroes, City of Villains and Dungeon Runners presents you a new and exciting MMORPG- Aion: The Tower of Eternity. NcSoft is the name behind these legends of MMORPG. This game is already ready released in Korea, and for the rest of the world it will be released until the end of 2009. Aion is a combination of PvP and PvE in a fantasy dream setting. A widely waited and major feature of the game is the ability of flying; it can be used for reach new areas as well as for aerial combat. With a preview at E3 in May 2006, Ncsoft announced the development of Aion. A close Beta test began in late 2007, with an open beta test in November 2008. Aion was launched in Korea on 25, November 2008.

Aion includes two playable races in the game: The Elyos and the Asmodians. Origin of both the races is same, so they will not be different in appearance. The difference will be their skin color and their wings. Many are assuming theta one race is good and the other is evil, developers are denying the fact. According to them neither of the race is good or bad, however there motives are complex. Elyos is the first playable race they live in the bright part of the earth. Therefore there world is bright, colorful and filled with green plants, lush green woods and tropical beaches. They are lead by five Seraphim Lords, and ultimately ruled by Azariel, Lord of light. Second playable race is Asmodians they are just opposite to the Elyos. They live in the darker part of the land and there vegetation is exotic, they are darker in skin. They are led by five Shedim Lords and ultimately ruled by Asphel Lord of Darkness. Both of the races have common features of growing wings once they turn into a Daeva. But the wings they originates are different Elyos have dove like wings, while the wings of Asmodians are Like Raven.

There are twelve classes in both of the races. Twelve classes are rare to find in Modern MMORPG’s. Each of the races will have slight variation in class skills once they have reach the first promotion at level 10. Higher-level players can adapt their characater to next level. With each profession offering two advanced classes. Like this, there are total twelve available characters types. Each class will have some special power. Either they will specialize in combat fighting, or they will specialize in magic spells.

A heavily modified version of the CryEngine is used in the game. CryEngine was first used developed by Crytek, which is now owned by Ubisoft. Depending on the weapon choosed by you to use, you’ll have access to the weapons skill chains. You can buy skills and they must correspond to a specific slot in the skill chain. However, length of the skill cannot be modified. End of the battle revolves around the battle zone of PvP or Abyss. There many castles in the Abyss which can be controlled by any of the race. The option of fight between two classes of same race is not involved. Those who are controlling the castles will get taxes from other players within the faction of to get special from NPCs. Microsoft Windows is the only platform Aion will be launched.

Final Fantasy Chronicles franchise are about to launch new title for Wii. Name of the title will be Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. Just like other titles of Final Fantasy series, it will be an action role-playing game. First announcements for the game in public were made at E3 in May 2005. The story of the game will revolve around an established hero character. Not much is revealed about the game after its first announcement. A new trailer was released with the previous title of Final Fantasy for Wii.

The timezone for this game is far into the future of the game is far into the future of the Crystal Chronicles franchise. The game is based in the same as the other world of the Crystal Chronicles series . It will also include four playable races. In March 2008 when Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of fates were launched, there was an official advertising article about the Nintendo DS planning for a new game for Crystal Bearers.

Very less is known about the story. However, it was confirmed that it revolves around protagonist Layle. He is a clavat and serves as the protagonist of the game. He is already been established as the hero of the game. He is one of the Eponymous Crystal Bearers. His Crystal gives him control of a strange gravity-based power. Other main characters of the game are Selkie a red-haired male who wears a bandana, a dark brown haired female Clavat who appears to be romantically involved with Layle. Antagonist of the game is a lavishly decorated female Yuke. She a Crystal Bearer too. Very less is known about the story. However, it was confirmed that the story starts as Layle comes to rescue of an airship under attack by dragons, and subsequently tries to root out the cause.

Opposite to the GameCube installment, which focus on the cooperative play, this title will focus on single player experience. The game developers wanted the game more “world weary” protagonist and wanted him to be more rugged, which influenced the hair design of the character. A more mature design is included to give game a heroic structure. Game director intention was to make a game with a theme of “”an exhilarating tale of this great hero set against sweeping blue skies.” Game design and story are heavily influenced from it. Most probable release date for the game is around Q4 of 2009.
