Clone is an upcoming game for Microsoft Windows by Tomkorp Computer Solutions. It will be a game is a mix of Puzzle and real time strategy genre of gaming. Clones features alien creatures which are named clones, players will order  various morph commands to the aliens or clones and they will deform their body to steer the terrain. Many game types are supported with single and multiplayer modes. Release date is not confirmed by the developers. Clones in the game will come with an in game level fully featured WYSIWYG editor. It will allow players to create their own multiplayer levels. Players can also create numerous single player puzzle, with the help of CloneMaster which will come along the editor. The editor used in the game will use object primates to build up a level from many small pieces. To produce high level appeal objects can be scaled, rotated, tinted and alpha blended freely. Basics of the game are similar to 2006 hit game Lemmings, only differences will be networked multiplayer and multiple game modes. A.I. will be simple, built-in level editor and a world ranking system. In relation to the differences of the game to Lemmings developers quoted as “ Clones is to Lemmings as Unreal Tournament is to Wolfenstein.” Although the game is 2d it will make use of 3D camera to display the Clones Planet and to allow rotation and zooming of the 2D landscape. Player will not be given the direct control of the clones, except the Light Clone, they must issue morphs to the clones which will deform their bodies and allow to perform 10 different actions to navigate the landscape. Clones will be divided in 8 different groups with identical functionality. In the single player mode use will be given control of only one group and rest of the groups will be either controlled by computer or they will not be active. In the multiplayer mode every player will control a different group.

In the single player mode players will assume the role of new CloneMaster who is visiting the Clones Planet and is on to progress on a pilgrimage to visit and learn from the ten elder CloneMasters. Each defeated Elder Master will give the player a segment of a medallion which once restored will unlock a final Elder CloneMaster. 10-20 puzzles will be offered to player from each Elder CloneMaster. Final stage will be a head to head battle against the Elder in Multiverse Match Mode. Elder Masters will encourage the player before engaging in online play, which can be very challenging and difficult. Multiplayer mode will be based in a setting of the intergalactic CloneMaster League. Players can host a tournament or instead view list of all active tournament in the universe and join if interested. Multiplayer matches will be more difficult then single player because of human being so unpredictable. Players will have an option of registering a one-on-one match with the CloneStats world ranking system which uses a chess-like method for determining a players rank.

Trine is a downloadable game on PlayStation Network and Microsoft Windows. Trine will help Sony Computer Entertainment to compete with Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade. It was developed by Finnish company Froznebyte. The PC version of Trine was released on July 3, 2009. The PSN version for PlayStation 3 will be launched a month later. The game is published by two different publishers in two different zones of the world. Nobilis will publish the game worldwide except American mainland which will be covered by SouthPeak Interactive. Ari Pulkkinen the famous game composer who did it for games like StarFight VI and Shadowgrounds has composed for the game. Trine will be a Puzzle and Platform game with single and multiplayer modes. Rumors about a XBLA version of the game being developed by Atlus are hitting the market. If anything like this happen, it will be a big setback for Sony Entertainment.

Trine is an action platform and puzzle game. Players will control different characters and they will try to complete various levels. To make the game more interactive levels and characters will have full physical interaction. Three main characters of the game are a thief (a ranged fighter), a wizard (a non-combat character who conjures different objects) and a knight (melee fighter). Galactrix or Puzzle Quest: Galactrix is a puzzle video game of bejeweled style and it will be completely downloadable. It is developed by Infinite Interactive for the platforms of Nintendo DS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3’s PlayStation Network and Xbox 360’s Xbox Live Arcade service. Puzzle Quest: Galactrix incorporates Bejeweled as the core combat mechanic. Visually Galactrix is similar to Hexic games, i.e. tiles are hexagonal in shape therefore can be swapped in six directions. Publishers for the game are D3. There is a full featured campaign mode alongwith an online multiplayer mode supporting 2-4 players. Downloadable content will include items, ships, plans, planets missions and factions. The game was released on three different dates for PC and DS it was released on February 24, 2009. For XBLA and PSN the game was released on April 8 and May 7, respectively.

Just like the original Puzzle Quest, Galactrix will have Bejeweled-style of gameplay with few exceptions. In Galactrix, tiles will be shaped hexagonally and gravity will play an important role in how they fall. If you are playing in open space new tiles will come from the direction where you made your previous move, while if the match is taking place near a planet then tiles will always fall downwards. Going different from the original Puzzle Quest, all the quest of Galactrix will take place on different star systems, various planets and the entire galaxy. According to the publishers of the game D3, a diplomacy system is included in the game, it will give the ability to customize, collect and build ships.

Two type of the tiles used in the game will be as follows:

Numbered attack tiles: whenever any of the numbered tiles is matched, the damage done will be the sum of all the numbers on any attacks tile you complete.

Colored Tiles: These tiles will be colored as yellow, green, blue, purple, and red. Yellow tiles correspond to the player’s engine gauge, red tiles are related to the players weapon gauge, blue recharge ships shields and green represents the ship’s computer.

There will be six types of puzzles in the game. All of them will use the tiles with some modifications. Six puzzles will be Gathering Rumours, Hacking Leapgates, Combat, Haggling, Crafting, and Mining. There will be four main human factions and they will grew from four Megacorporations that created the LeapGate system. Trident, CyTech, MRI and Lumina are the four human factions in the game and The Soulless and Pirates are the two main enemy factions. There will be small plot incorporated in the game. It starts in a far-distant future where four megacorporations run the whole galaxy. One of them is conduction illegal experiments, which are dangerous to human kind. At the start of the game player will be novice, his experience will grow as the game progress, and he will became more powerful.

Puchi Puchi Virus is upcoming game for Nintendo DS. It is under development of not so famous California based company Nippon Ichi in association with KeysFactory. The game will be published by Jaleco in Japan and for America, its NIS. Genre of the game is Puzzle video game and it will be available in 1 or 2 player modes. Media release for the game will be in the form of Nintendo DS Game Card.

Story of the game starts on a planet, which looks like Earth. It is affected by a deadly viral outbreak. Whoever is infected turns into a weird monster. These infected monsters have got pun for names, like Flying Panduh, a Panda with a jetpack, a frying pan and with dislike to country music. The outbreak is worsened by everyday, Doctor Kevin and his two assistants decide to fight the disease. There only hope is their newly invented vaccine, made up of pure awesome.

Main characters of the game are:

Dr. Kevin – he is the main character of the game and serves as the protagonist of the game. He is a genius and spends most of his time working in his lab. He is very kind, noble and weird. His company includes a hottie and a chicken.

Honeydew – She is hot, smart and quiet most important of all she is Kevin’s Assistant. She is speaks her mind if she thinks it’s important. She loves to cook even tough she is bad at it.

George the Chicken – he is the third and most ridiculous character of the Kevin’s group. George claims she is a girl, but nobody believes him. Kevin and Honeydew even suspect she might be infected with the Puchirus.

Main Feature of the gameplay is to link geometric viruses together to erase them before they turn into stones. You have to create links by linking three viruses together into a triangle; and then ‘popping’ this triangle to remove the viruses. If you overlap two triangles and then pop the first triangle created, you will be able to create Combos. Puchi Puchi Virus features whooping 102 levels within the game. Each level will have different objective like a certain number of combos, a certain score, etc within a limit of time.

They are the hardest puzzles to solve yet you will not leave the game. Boom Blox Bash Party is a puzzle video game developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts. It will only be available on Wii video game console. It is a sequel to one of the most famous puzzle game Boom Blox. The game will be released in spring of 2009 in Europe and North America. The game will feature around 400 levels and as an additional feature of uploading the custom-created levels to share online. Development of the game started just after the first game of the series was finished. Boom Blox Bash Party was officially announced on January 28, 2009 and will be designed by great film director Steven Spielberg.

Most of the gameplay of Boom Blox Bash Party is same as of the previous one but will feature some new mechanics. According to the developers of the game shooting mode was the least favorite, therefore it is less stressed this time. This game was created as a part of famous deal between Electronic Arts and Steven Spielberg to make three original properties. However, Boom Blox Bash Party is not counted as the part of the original series.

A new slingshot mechanic is included in the game. The shooting mechanic will be less effective than in the first game. New environments are the best feature of the game, like outer space and underwater. In addition, new block shapes such as ramps and cylinders are also included. Multiplayer mode is enhanced and is made more extensive. The feature everybody is waiting for is the ability to upload levels on the server and at the same time download levels designed by other players. Uploads will be reviewed by Electronic Arts and will be filtered out if any kind of inappropriate content is found. Few levels are from the original Boom Blox. All the levels are free to download. However, the friend codes are missing this time, which is a common method of online play on Nintendo DS and Wii.

First announcement for the game was made on 18, November 2008. However, the official announcements were made as late as 28 January 2009 by EA. Just like the previous version of the game, it is developed by Electronic Arts and will design by Steven Spielberg. Initially it was a part of a deal made between EA and Steven Spielberg, to make three original properties. As soon as Boom Blox was completed, Steven Spielberg kept meeting EA to work on a sequel. However, once Boom Blox was completed, EA wasted hardly any time in launching the sequel.
