BattleForge is an upcoming game developed by EA Phenomic. Gaming giants Electronic Arts will publish the game. BattleForge is real-time strategy game. Release dates are not revealed by the developers but it may release in 2009. According to the developers BattleForge will only be released for Microsoft Windows in 2009. BattleForge is not like other typical RTS games. Main focus of the game is buying, trading, and winning through means of micro-transactions. However, micro-transactions are not required for playing the game, only for buying new cards.

The developers are promising an experience of real-time strategy in a whole new dimension. Every battle is different from others, and every army is unique and differs from other armies of the game. You are given a chance to create your own from mighty creatures and powerful soldiers. Lead your army in epic online battles-with your friends or against them. You have options to go for single player missions or in a team with up to twelve participants. There us PvE (player versus environment) mode and PvP (player versus player) mode. In PvE mode players have to fight alone in missions. Some of the missions are only played by 1 player, while some of them can be played with 2, 4 or 12 players.

There are two hundred cards in total. They are equally divided among the powers. Developers are promising more cards after the release of the game. Theses cards are like tools of war. They represent spells, units and buildings that can be used directly in the battlefield. You have to assemble the perfect fighting force before the battle, from ever-increasing collection and lead into battle. Cards which are rare open completely new tactics for you. These rare cards are of high value for swapping at the in game market place. Four main powers that balance in the world of BattleForge. These four powers are Fire Aggressive, Frost Defensive, Shadow Risk, and Nature Control. These powers have their own special abilities, strength and weakness. These powers provide powerful array of spells, powerful units, and magical units for your strategy. You can surprise your opponents by using perfectly armed fighting force for every battle.

BattleForge offers three modes for each mission: standard, advanced, and expert. If you want to play the expert mode you have to complete the standard mode first. If you win the battle there are rewards of gold, card upgrades and PvE experience points. These experience points can be use for achieving higher rank in PvE level. For the PvP battles players can choose either ranked PvP or unranked PvP. Ranked PvP will give players ELO points, gold, and token as reward. ELO points can give players a higher PvP level. Gold and Token can be traded for card upgrades. Main objective of the players is to defend legends in PvE and add them to your card collection or fight other players in PvP and improve your rankings and win unique prizes.

Developers stated that world of BattleForge never sleeps, new players and challenges are always there in the community. New cards will be released on regular intervals, with new tactical possibilities. Exciting and new campaigns fill the world of BattleForge and will keep enriching its history over the time.

Maker’s of City of Heroes, City of Villains and Dungeon Runners presents you a new and exciting MMORPG- Aion: The Tower of Eternity. NcSoft is the name behind these legends of MMORPG. This game is already ready released in Korea, and for the rest of the world it will be released until the end of 2009. Aion is a combination of PvP and PvE in a fantasy dream setting. A widely waited and major feature of the game is the ability of flying; it can be used for reach new areas as well as for aerial combat. With a preview at E3 in May 2006, Ncsoft announced the development of Aion. A close Beta test began in late 2007, with an open beta test in November 2008. Aion was launched in Korea on 25, November 2008.

Aion includes two playable races in the game: The Elyos and the Asmodians. Origin of both the races is same, so they will not be different in appearance. The difference will be their skin color and their wings. Many are assuming theta one race is good and the other is evil, developers are denying the fact. According to them neither of the race is good or bad, however there motives are complex. Elyos is the first playable race they live in the bright part of the earth. Therefore there world is bright, colorful and filled with green plants, lush green woods and tropical beaches. They are lead by five Seraphim Lords, and ultimately ruled by Azariel, Lord of light. Second playable race is Asmodians they are just opposite to the Elyos. They live in the darker part of the land and there vegetation is exotic, they are darker in skin. They are led by five Shedim Lords and ultimately ruled by Asphel Lord of Darkness. Both of the races have common features of growing wings once they turn into a Daeva. But the wings they originates are different Elyos have dove like wings, while the wings of Asmodians are Like Raven.

There are twelve classes in both of the races. Twelve classes are rare to find in Modern MMORPG’s. Each of the races will have slight variation in class skills once they have reach the first promotion at level 10. Higher-level players can adapt their characater to next level. With each profession offering two advanced classes. Like this, there are total twelve available characters types. Each class will have some special power. Either they will specialize in combat fighting, or they will specialize in magic spells.

A heavily modified version of the CryEngine is used in the game. CryEngine was first used developed by Crytek, which is now owned by Ubisoft. Depending on the weapon choosed by you to use, you’ll have access to the weapons skill chains. You can buy skills and they must correspond to a specific slot in the skill chain. However, length of the skill cannot be modified. End of the battle revolves around the battle zone of PvP or Abyss. There many castles in the Abyss which can be controlled by any of the race. The option of fight between two classes of same race is not involved. Those who are controlling the castles will get taxes from other players within the faction of to get special from NPCs. Microsoft Windows is the only platform Aion will be launched.

Earthrise is a science fiction based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). It is based on post-apocalyptic settings. Officially, it was announced on January 23, 2008. the development is under Bulgarian based team, Masthead Studios. They are planning to release the game before second half of 2009. The basic settings of the game are based on the clash between two factions. One is the corporate government, which control most of the country and every possible aspect of its citizen’s lives. The other is rebel group sworn to oppose government orders. The new features includes a skill-based system, a player driven economy and a modified PvP.  It will be released only on Windows.

Earthrise takes place on the island of Enterra, where the surviving population has built a new society. There new society is based in a City called Sal Vitas. Rulers of the City is a totalitarian government called Continoma that rewards who abide by its strict laws. Once the government of Sal Vitas has full control of the cloning processes it’s their decision who will live and who will not. Some armed forces accuse the city rulers as criminal against humanity. Armed forces fought against government for resources and power within the system. The rebellion forces ferments and creates a shadow government Noir.

The number 100 indicates total skills of the player. Other than combat oriented skills, game elements are- abilities, skills, and tactics. They are closely related to each other. These game elements will help in numerous character customizations. Main element behind customization is Tactics. The battle system of Earthrise is traditionally RPG system, where avatar skills and equipment are important. The combats are however dynamic and resembles a first person or third person shooter game. The game requires a certain level of skills in targeting and movement, which is quite popular in current wave of MMOs.

Players will have the opportunity to kill other members. You can also kill players from your own faction, but it is considered as one of the worst crime in both Continoma and Noir. To clear the damming effects of such crime is very difficult but not impossible. In the Continoma SVS, each guard will behave differently to the criminal players. Player who had killed another player will be able to loot his possessions. There are some areas in the game where guards will attack everyone who tries to attack other players. Exanimus starts a few years after rise of dead where the environment has to begun to decay due to neglect and damage. According to the developers, players can roam in both rural and urban environments. Main motive of the developers is to make environments more intense to create “horror” feeling. They are often called as mercenaries and their agents are honorable and efficient. They can be found planting explosives and many such destructive missions on every continent of the world. Their headquarters are in any unknown location in Africa.

The Agency is a FPS-style gun fighting game but you can also switch to third person a view. There are some driving and other vehicular segments as well in the game. Skills will play most important part in player’s progress with some RPG elements as well. It is suggested that game will be realistic shooter experience as if a single shot to heads will kill any player instantly. Many kind of subgames and minigames are also included in the game. The Agency will have an unique feature if allowing low players to kill higher ones if they are that talented. PvP is also included in the game, but it will not be a requirement of the game. The user interface is streamlined compared to other massively multiplayer online games. Mortal Online is one of the largest MMORPG game. It is still in development by the Swedish video game company Star Vault. Mortal Online uses the famous Epic Games production Unreal Engine 3. This is the first time a MMORPG is using a sandbox-style gameplay. You will be able to play it only after summer 2009. As there is no class, distribution you can choose skills you want to train instead of classes. NPC guilds are an option you can join. You can win a class bonus after you join NPC guilds. You can leave a NPC guild at any time, but doing so, you will have to leave the class bonus for that guild. Other prominent features included are a first person perspective for both melee and ranged combat. While riding mounts game automatically changes to a third person view, as riding is much more easier in a third person view. Graphics of the Mortal Online are supported by Speedtree, Unreal Engine 3, and Grome.

Skills play an important part in Mortal Online, as your skills will decide what you can and cannot do in the game. The skill system is dynamic and most of the skills and attributes are interlinked to each other. You can independently improve any of these skills. Further skills are divided in two main categories as Primary and secondary Skills.

Primary Skills are the most basic skills of the game and serve as the base for rest of the skills of the game. All characters have these skills from the start itself; however, the skill you wan to improve completely depends on your choice. As the skill system works like a tree system, different primary skills will unlock different secondary Skills. You will have to balance your skills and you can train and untrain these skills.

Secondary Skills serve as top of the skill tree. These vast numbers of skills are connected to each other in a very complex network. Secondary Skills have to be discovered by the player itself. You can found them in tutoring, books, and with the help of magic. They are not limited like the primary ones. You can train in a particularly in any Skills you want.

Mortal online feature six races in total. They are different in their home locations, allies and physical description. All the six races included in the game are Half- Orc, Tindremene, Khurite, Forest Elf, Sidoian, and Hueragar. Tindremene are the most powerful and half Orcs are the most barbaric ones.
