Call of Duty franchise is one of the best selling FPS series, after the huge success of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare developers of the game are going for the sequel. Finally most awaited sequel is about to release. Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 is an upcoming game for the first person shooter family. Like it’s predecessor Modern Warfare 2 is also developed by Infinity Wards. It will be sixth installment in the Call of Duty series, so it is also called as COD 6. Gaming giants Activision are publishing the game. Release date for the game is set November 11, 2009. On February 11, 2009 COD 6 was announced officially. Like Modern Warfare, it will be set in modern time.

Very less is known about the story of the game. Story details are yet to be released for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Community manager for Infinity Ward, Robert Bowling, posted an update on his personal blog regarding the voice work for the game. He also stated that he was reviewing some lines from the game’s script. He also shared the radio- chatter line “Cujo Two-One this is vulture, solid copy to all.”

Originally Modern Warfare 2 or sixth game in Call of Duty series was framed to be start as COD 6. On December 3, 2008 Activision Blizzard games officially name Modern Warfare was revaluated for the first time. However later both Activision and Infinity Ward denied that the announcement was official. On February 11, 2009 Activison and Infinity confirmed the game. Modern Warfare 2 was targeted to release date for the “holiday season” in late 2009. On March 25, 2009, a teaser trailer was posted on Infinity Ward’s website, announcing releasing date of November 10, 2009.

The trailer starts with the infinity logo with voices from background noise on a green waveform turning slowly into a series of human shaped silhouettes and then an elevator door. The scenario is now shifted into the elevator, still in green sound outlines. The elevator descends, opening up to what appears to be an airport security line. The trailer ends with a hail of gunfire, a flash of green tinted action shots and ultimately The Modern Warfare 2 logo. Voice of a character is provided by Ken Lally who previously provided motion capture work for the Resident Evil 5 character Albert Wesker, His role however in the game is not specified. Batman: Arkham Asylum is an upcoming game for all the three leading platforms of gaming world Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows. It will be an action-adventure video game. It is under development of Rocksteady Studios and will be published by industry giants Eidos Interactive in association with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics. Opposed to other Batman games which are based on other media sources besides source material, Batman: Arkham Asylum is based on long running comic book mythos. Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released on June 9, 2009.

The gameplay of Batman: Arkham Asylum is similar to The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. The story of the game is provided by Paul Dini, and it looks like to be influenced by twists and turn of famous FPS Bioshock. Gameplay of the game focus much on Batman as a detective. Just like the Resident Evil 5’s over-the-shoulder, third person view, Batman: Arkham Asylum utilize the same gameplay view. There are few hints that there will be an option of controlling certain villains of the game. However the developers are saying this option will be an unlockable element after release of the game. A combo multiplier at the top of the screen will increase every time Batman fights with an enemy. Once the bar is empty or the combo expires, a colony of bats will swirl around Batman and then contribute to an experience bar on the left side of the screen. There is RPG style tree system allowing players to distribute points where they prefer. Gadgets are revealed only if you collect secret items in the dark rooms. Players need gadgets to survive against the enemies. Many stages need stealth. The developers are calling it as ‘Predatory’ instead of stealth, because stealth reflects weakness. Other interesting feature is creating distraction using bodies and enemies yells. The physics used in the game is realistic and makes combat of the game more realistic. The detective part of the game is like “CSI style” for forensic puzzles because Batman will always have the latest gadgets to carry. Centerpiece of the Batman’s qualities is investigation. The visor can be used to highlight points of interest and scan items into your database.

The game starts when Joker is captured by Batman after his latest plot. He is imprisoned at the Arkham Asylum, due to the recent attack on Gotham prison by joker many other sane convicts have been transferred to Arkham. Joker acting cunningly sets a trap for Batman inside the asylum, using Arkham’s own defense against him. Now Batman has to escape from the trap as well as recapture Joker and reveal his true intentions. Main characters of the game other than Joker and Batman include The Scarecrow, The Riddler, and Commissioner James Gordon.

The story of the game is written by Paul Dini, also the writer of Batman: The Animated Series, and Detective Comics. The character appearance is crafted by Wildstorm. Batman : Arkham Asylum will be an ultimate Batman experience. Voices will give an good impact to the game, voice for the characters are as follows, Kevin Conroy as Batman Mark Hamill as The Joker, and Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn in the game. The game will run on Epic Games Unreal Engine 3. It will be based on the 70-year Batman series rather being focused to s single particular adaptation.

Resident evil is soon to be released game of the world famous Resident Evil survival horror video game series. It is also known as Biohazard 5 in Japan. It will debut on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It will be developed and produced by CAPCOM, as all the games of the franchise are produced by them. Initially it will debut on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 only. Date scheduled for its release is 5th of March 2009 in Japan, and 13^th march in North America and Europe.

It was stated by Jun Takeuchi, the game producer, that Resident Evil 5’s gameplay will be same as to Resident Evil 4. The player will control Chris Redfield similarly, to how the player controlled Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4. Just like the Resident Evil 4, it will have the over the shoulder view. Games environment will also be significant. What is special about the game is lighting effects. If the character moves from bright to dark area, his eyes will have to adjust and cause the player to lose some sight. Mercenaries’ minigame that was featured in Resident Evil 3 and 4 will make a return in Resident Evil 5.

As seen in E3 2007 trailer of Resident Evil 5, enemies are completely different from the other games of the franchise. Trailers revealed several sequences involving Redfield attacking hordes of fleet footed enemies, who possessed melee weapons. Takeuchi also stated that enemies will have human like intelligence and awareness this time. The Granados will also be different from the previous ones. Numbers of weapons are also increased. Resident Evil 5’s main story can be played with two players, in a co-operative online mode. The feature will allow players to leave or join anytime during the game. One more important thing is that players will not have to stick together, and can be separated at points during the gameplay.

Development team of Resident Evil 5 is same as the team who had worked on first Resident Evil game. Therefore, the team promises you the actual sequel of the franchise. Therefore, it is sure that the game will continue from where Resident Evil 4 left off. The story follows Chris’, the main protagonist, life during the ten-year interval between the two games. He is a member of a group known as Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), and sent to investigate an incident in desert that serves the game’s setting. A female character will also appear in the game as shown in the trailer. Resident Evil 5 is gaining fame for its graphic details and strong storyline.
