Flagship Seattle and Blizzard North in collaboration bringing on of the best multiplayer computer role-playing game- Mythos. Blizzard North is the company who produced the famous Diablo series. Flagship Seattle was having some financial problems with Flagship Studios, so they dissolved with Runic Games. Their legal property rights are with Korean company Hanbitsoft.

In most of the features, Mythos resembles Diablo, like extensive map, item randomization, high fantasy setting and similar interface perspective. Leader of the development team is led by Travis Baldree creator of the action of RPG FATE and co founder of Runic Games. Initially game genre was MMORPG to test the Flagship Studios new networking technology behind multiplayer component used in Hellgate: London, but due to some reasons it grown into an independent game with a different release date. The gameplay of Mythos is similar to Diablo series. It will be a Point-and-Click movement with an isometric view. Major objectives of the game will be fighting randomly generated monsters, collecting items, completing points, and gaining experience points. Rather than using pre-rendered 2D sprites on a 3D perspective plane, graphics are rendered on fully 3D polygons.

There are four major game modes in the game: Normal, Elite, Hardcore, and Hardcore Elite. Player can play and trade with players of their mode only. However, guilds are not limited to each mode and members can be of all type. Normal mode is easiest of them all and you can respec your character. Elite mode makes monsters more powerful and they will drop very few items, however weapons and items will cost half of the normal price in this mode. Hardcore mode is an honor to Diablo and it features permanent death. If you die in Hardcore, you will not be able to play again or retrieve any items. Hardcore Elite is a combination of the two modes.

A player can trade items and currency to other players. An email system is also setup that allows players to send money, items and messages but while in a town. It will also have an open Player vs. Player for those who chose to participate. Player is given two side to choose from, Normal and Shadows. If you are on the Normal side, you will only see your party. However if you chose Shadow mode levels will automatically and randomly generate and players will join you automatically and attack you. Crafting points is an important feature of the game. They can be earned by completing Crafting quests. You can build crafting tree by investing your crafting points. As a player invests in a tree higher items of greater customization becomes available.

Humans, Satyr, Gremlin, and Cyclops are the four races of the game. All the races share the same attribute. Leaving human all the races are based on mythological creatures. Gremlins are people with pointy ears; they have affinity for machines and technology. Satyrs are of human height, they look like horned, goat-legged creatures of Greek mythology. Cyclopes are large, hulking, one-eyed humanoids; they are also inspired by Greek myth.
