This opportunity is under the development of Sega the great Japanese game software and hardware company. Sega is developing a game named Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. The game will be published jointly by Sega and Nintendo. Genre for the game is Sports and it is completely dedicated to International Olympic Committee because of an exclusive license of International Sports Multimedia. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games will released in late 2009 on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. It will serve as the first official video game of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Basically the game is a collection of events based on the Olympic Winter Games. Two teams in the game will be Sega and Nintendo and you have to compete while posing as one of the team. Spanish Nintendo magazine Nintendo Acción was the first to mention about the game in January 2009. They reported that the game will be named as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. IGN and Eurogamer confirmed the game a few weeks later. IGN also announced that the game will be officially announced in the following month. Dennis Kim licensing and merchandising director for the event, stated that Vancouver 2010 and the IOC will share royalties. These statements were made in the moth February and in the same month Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games was announced. A joint press release by Nintendo and Sega on February 12, 2009 saw the release of the game. The game is under development immediately after the winter Olympics games were announced. Gameplay of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games will be same as that of the previous Olympic games. Players will control an on screen character through Olympic events with specific tailored controls for the Wii and DS. Some of the game events in the Wii version can use Balance Board accessory. However it is not compulsory. The game will have all the previous characters and some of the new characters. Two new known characters for the game are Metal Sonic and Donkey Kong. It was announced through Nintendo Channel that the game will have WiiConnect24 capability. Further players can use their Miis in-game. Festival mode is the new feature in the Wii version. It will allow players make their way through entire Olympic games and ceremonies of opening and closing. Multiplayer mode will offer “co-op and competitive gameplay” and for the DS version it will use its wireless capabilities. Other than these two modes, there will be a “Focus Mode” it will help players to see more information about a specific enemy, like the type of weapon they are carrying and how much far they are from the possible threat. As a Predator you will fight normal melee attack and a special attack called Trophy Kill. In this mode player can remove spinal chord and skull of the opponent, making it a gruesome and cinematic kill. You can use this kill on both Aliens and humans and also in the multiplayer mode. First announcement for the game were made in Kotaku and Sega announced that Aliens vs. Predator is under development. One possibility is that because of Aliens vs. Predator’s development there may be delay in Sega’s other upcoming game Aliens: Colonial Marines. The game starts in distant future; Earth is suffering drastic Environmental changes. Why nobody knows, reasons are unknown. A poisonous layer pervaded the land and this leads to taking mankind on the Edge of extinction since they are not able to adapt to the new changes. To survive remaining humans built a gigantic device called Basel, its cleans the surrounding air and thus the environment. Civilizations starts to build around Basel, with building a city around the Basel. High class lives on the apartments built on the top of the Basel and lower class is living in the districts build around the base. Zephyr – he is 17 years old and serves as the main protagonist of the game. He is an orphan and rose in childcare facilities. His outlook for the world is tough, as he believes there is no God. He meets Vashyron in his late teens, while working for a Private Military Firm (PMC), beginning his life as a mercenary soldier. In the release screenshots of the game he seen carrying two sub-machine guns.

Vashyron – 26 years old man, he served for the army and later opened his own PMC for living. He meets Zephyr on an mission of suppressing teenage rioters, and inviting him to join his company. He is a survivor during his military days, as all of his squad members were killed. It looks like he prefers handguns.

Subject 20 – A 19 years old girl who is born and raised in research facility. The name 20 is given to her because of the experiments on her. Her body is biologically programmed to expire on her 20^th birthday. After knowing this she escapes the facility, intending to defy her inevitable fate.

The promotion for the game is started on April 1^st 2009. Tri-ace released a teaser with countdown timer leading to the next week. Stormrise is a real time strategy game developed for all the three leading game platforms PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows & Xbox 360. It is developed by The Creative Assembly, British company famous for real time strategy games like Shogun: Total War and recent hit Empire: Total War. Stormrise is published by Japanese company Sega. The Conduit is an upcoming game by High Voltage Software. It will be a futuristic first person shooter game. First reveled at IGN on April 17, 2008, it is set to be released on June, 9, 2009. On October 29, 2008, it was announced by the game developers that Sega will be the first game’s first official publishers. Development of the game started in October 2007. Quantum3 is the game engine used by The Conduit, the game engine is developed by High Voltage Software specifically for the Wii. The game engine has several unique features like bump mapping, reflection and refraction, and gloss and detail mapping to be implemented in the game. The engine was created by High Voltage Software to give The Conduit a comparable experience visually to games on the platforms like PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, despite hardware limitations of Wii.

Storyline of The Conduit mainly focus on an alien invasion of Washington D.C. in near future. The aliens invading Washington use a eponymous Conduits, which are portal-like devices, to deploy their forces on the City. To discover the reasons of attacks, an organization called the Trust sends Mr. Ford to investigate. The online multiplayer feature of the game includes several game modes such as Deathmatch and will have voice capability through the Wii Speak peripheral.

Most of the controls of the The Conduit are inspired by Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, first person shooters which had well received Wii control schemes. There are many customizable features of the game, like the speed of the camera moved by the player, ability to alter the size of the bounding box, and cursor sensitivity. Aliens: Colonial Marines is based on the characters and creatures of Alien franchise, especially Aliens.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is a squad-based first person shooter. Players have to control four Colonial Marines and each Marine is different from the other in personality and primary weapon. Each Marine however can carry extra weapons like pulse rifle, flamethrower, RPG, pistol, and many kind of grenades. Player can issue commands to others by using context-sensitive commands and can change character any time. Occasionally player will also have to control a particular location, using tactical positioning and turrents to fend off attacks. Aliens: Colonial Marines is different from other first-person shooter games as it doesn’t have any kind of HUD options to provide player with onscreen information.

Aliens are the main enemies of Marines. Several aliens appear in the game they are different in appearance and will attack differently. Facehuggers will attempt to attach themselves to the player character’s face, implanting an embryo inside them which will then kill them. Scouts are faster and will spy on player characters’ activities. Warrior aliens are the primary enemies. All these aliens are based on movie Aliens. Drones carry and position eggs in the hive of the Queen Alien. Alien Queen appears as boss enemy. To give combat a real touch Quick time events are used in one-on-one combat. Aliens will occasionally flee when attacked by more than one Marine. Quick time events are also used when a player is attacked by facehugger.

The game also allows two players to play cooperatively on the same console, using a split screen to show the two perspectives. Online multiplayer will allow four players to play cooperatively, each using their own console and screen. The story is written by Bradley Thompson and David Weddle writers of the famous Battlestar Galactica. The game continues after Alien 3. A team of Colonial Marines is send to investigate the U.S.S. Sulaco in search of Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks and all other missing marines who are dispatched to LV-426. Locations include The Sulaco, LV-426, and Fiorina 161 prison facility. Total War is scheduled to release on 3 March in North America and on 4 March in Europe. It is developed by British developer’s Creative Assembly and will be published by Sega. It will be fifth game of the Total War Series. Its main focus is on the Modern era period of the 1700s to 1800s. Gameplay is similar to the earlier games of the franchise. Players can direct battles in real time. This will be the only game of the series that allows naval battle in real time.

Empire: Total War is not just fighting battles it is focused on exploration, diplomacy, economics, the founding of colonies and ultimately Conquest. Players can dominate many parts of the world including North America, Europe, India and Africa. For achieving this task player has to use both complex strategies and command battles on both land and water. A turn-based map is included in the game. It gives players to move armies across the world, trade and other tasks needed to run their faction. Other map in the game is a real-time battle mode it will allow player to take part directly in any of the battles.

Empire: Total War will have about fifty factions of 18^th century. This includes Great Britain, Prussia, Sweden and the Ottoman Empire. At the start players are offered twelve factions, rest of the factions can be unlocked later. Each faction is different from the other factions in strength, territory, and specialties. A story driven campaign is also included in the game. It will allow players to guide British colonization of America in three different chapters. First one is the British establishing a colony in Jamestown, second shows the Britons fighting Native American as well as French armies. Third, one focuses on the War of Independence fought between American continental army and Britons.

Battle system is one of the major area of the game. Just opposite to the campaign mode player has to fight battles in real time. Player can fight on both land and water in Empire: Total War. It however differs from the previous titles as the naval battles takes to be fought in real time, not solved by AI as in the earlier versions. In naval battles player can control fleets of twenty ships varying in size, armament, class, & crew. Player has to use 18^th century tactics to defeat enemy fleets. If the player succeeds in either capturing or sinking hostile ships, a naval battle is won. Weather affects naval battles and bad weather can result in effects from poor visibility to endangering a ship’s safety.
