Metal Gear Solid is coming to the PlayStation Portable. Metal gear Solid achieved great success and won many awards like Best game of the Year, Best Story of the year and Best graphics of the year. Metal Gear Solid series is one of the best selling series on the platform of PS 3 or PlayStation 3. New installment for the series is named Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. It will only release on PlayStation Portable (PSP). Just like all the previous games of the series Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be developed and published by Kojima Productions. Release dates are not confirmed and the game will release somewhere in 2010. The game will release only in single player mode. The game is directed by CEO of Kojima Productions himself Hideo Kojima. The game is written by whom before Peace Walker written all the three previous games for the Metal Gear Solid series. He is associated by Hideo Kojima.

At the E3 2009 Sony Press conference, the game was confirmed as a new installment of the Metal Gear Solid series. The game is set in 1974, ten years after the game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater ends and four years later where the game Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops ends. War ground for the game is Costa Rica. Central character for the game in once again Big Boss. Costa Rica is invaded by some unknown military Force. Now there only hope is a mercenary army known as Militaires Sans Frontières. Eventually this is the group, which will give rise to the Outer Heaven. In the official trailer of the game, it was seen that there were multiple snakes, this indicates inclusion of co-operative play. But nothing is announced about the co-operative play. Just like the previous game of the series Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriot, there will be CQC and evacuation system along with the ability to move while crouched. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is highly awaited and anticipated game, as it will be the first game of the series to be released on PSP and also first game since the release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriot.

Square Enix is known for its RPG (role-playing game) like Kingdom of Heart, Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Now a third person shooter is under their belt, the game is named The 3rd Birthday. Both Square Enix and Sony want their products to go more global then they now are. The 3rd Birthday will be the third part in the famous Parasite Eve series. Last game of the series Parasite Eve was released nine years back in 2000. to create the suspense very few information is released under the section of plot. The 3rd Birthday is a spin-off from the Parasite Eve series, that’s why the title Parasite Eve is not included in the title. The game will see the return of Aya Brea main protagonist the previous games. Design of the game is changed significantly from the predecessors. But as it is number three in the series and have “3” in the name, fans are referring it by the name of “Parasite Eve 3”. The game will release on Sony’s PlayStation Portable. Releasing dates are yet to be confirmed by the developers.

What ever is revealed by the developers, plot of the game revolves around Aya. Late on the Christmas Eve, Aya and few other members of CTI are called into the headquarter. Reason is an outbreak of attacks in Manhattan. Creatures named as Twisted are behind these attacks. These characters suddenly emerge from mysterious time contortion. Any details about the time contortion and creatures will be revealed later. Just like the other games of the series main focus of the game will be Aya. Although her age is some where in the middle thirties, but due to her powers she still looks like a twenty years old. Reason to keep Aya in her twenties was given by the Motomu Toriyama, Chief scenario Director as it will be hard to focus on a woman in her mid thirties and playing a role of a cool and independent woman. The game was announced in 2007 in Japan. A teaser released shows Aya in wedding dress, however nothing is explained about it.

Initially the game was announced only to be released on mobile phones, but later in an private fan event, it was announced for PSP. A trailer was shown at Tokyo Game Show. It shows events of Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 and then switching to the events of 3rd Birthday. The teaser starts with Aya in a street and snow is falling, a time cortex slowly opens near her. Continuing it shows a guy offering his hand to Aya, the guy is believed to be Kyle Madigan returning from Parasite II. an unknown creature emerges from the cortex and attacks Aya. The teaser ends with the logo of The 3rd Birthday and confirming that the game is exclusively developed for PSP. Another trailer shows Aya in a church. A mysterious figure is standing at the end of the church when she approaches the figure, he opens fire on Aya. According to the gaming magazine Famitsu The 3rd Birthday should be at Tokyo Game Show 2009.

Soul series is a fighting game series, but slightly different from other fighting game series like Tekken, Street fighter and Mortal Kombat. Unlike other fighting series, characters of Soul were unique in fighting as using different weapons instead of bare hands. Most of the time these weapons include Blades and Swords. Other fighting game characters usually have unique fighting style but here in Soulcaliber they will have unique style comnbined with a unique weapon. Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny will be first game on PSP and seventh over all game for the Soul series. Most of the features of the game are said to be inspired from Soulcaliber IV. The game will be developed by Namco’s Project Soul team and published by Namco Bandai. Fist announcements for then game were made by Namco Bandai on April 28, 2009. The famous feature of the series character customization will be there in the game. Confirm release date for the game is September 30, 2009. Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny will have both single and multiplayer modes. According to the developers one of the main goal of the game is to “target novice players and beginners with Soulcaliber IV features”

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny will include more than 30 characters. This list of thirty characters is still to be revealed. Although Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is based on the features of Soulcaliber IV it will lack Star Wars guest characters. The new gust character will be Kratos from the famous God of War series developed and published Sony. All the announcements for the new character were made 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game is highly awaited in the fans of Soul series and specially for the PSP users as the games on the PSP are limited. The game is loaded with some awesome features like head-to-head multiplayer mode, some most exciting visual and challenging and tough single player modes. DC Universe Online (DCOU) is and MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) under the development of Sony Online Austin. It will be published by Sony Online Entertainment. Executive Creative Director of the game will be Jim Lee together with JJ Kirby, Oliver Nome, Carlos D’Anda, Livio Ramondelli, Michael Lopez and Eddie Nunez. Developers from EverQuest Shawn Lord and Chris Cao are also involved. First conceptual part of the game was released on July 4, 2008 and the first trailer for the game was released on July 14^th, 2008, followed by new concept art and screenshots for the game were released on the next day. For better feedback developers held a Q&A on the same day to give the fans a chance to ask questions about the gameplay and other aspects of the game. Later it was revealed on the Myspace page of DCOU that the first public demo of the game would be shown in the Comic-Con International. Information about the Comic-Con International has also surfaced with a video showing the making of the game. DC Universe Online is scheduled for release either late 2009 or early 2010, in the genre of MMORPG. Platforms considered are PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.

DC Universe Online is set in DC Universe and the gameplay of the game is basic Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game. One of the main inspirations of the game is The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. SOE want this game to be different from other MMORPG’s. Main focus of SOE is that without losing the key elements like leveling and inventories of RPG’s Dc Universe should look more interactive. The world shown in the game will be shared, public space instead of Heroes or villains having their own territory. Public space features will be content generated dynamically for both hero and villain player character. This feature will result in interesting Player versus Player or PvP battles. Player will chose a City for their character, like Metropolis, Arkham Asylum and Gotham. Depending on whether you chose to be a hero or villain you will be given a Justice League or Legion of Doom Communicator. Character’s commitment will affect the game that is played, for example a Villain will rob a truck or bank whereas a hero will save some one from being robbed or save the bank. Threat ratings will cause Heroes and villains to interact with each other. A demo was featured on IGN showing various Heroes as well as villains.

L.A. Noire is an upcoming video game under the unique genre of detective action. It is being developed by Team Bondi. Two of the biggest names of the industry will publish L.A. Noire. Rockstar Games and PlayStation 3 are the two publisher of the game respectively. God of War III is the game brutal gamers are waiting for. The god of War series is one of Sony’s most successful franchises, both critically and commercially. God of War III will tell story Kratos, the champion of gods and the domination between gods and the titans. Formally announced in E3 2008, it is expected to release in 2009. According to Amazon website exclusively for PlayStation 3 god of War III will release initially in Europe. David Jaffe director of God of War said, “God of War explains, or ultimately will explain, why there are no more Greek myths.” He also stated that it will be “hell on earth” as the gods and the titans battle each other for domination, and that the series will explore the question of whether “man needs god”. Eat Sleep Play, co founded by Jaffe, is interested to be involved in development for God of War III. Advertisements of God of War III started as long as the launch of God of War: Chains of Olympus.

A teaser was shown at SCE’s E3 press conference. It involves a monologue by Zeus regarding the rise to power of the Olympian and how their rule is now threatened. As Zeus, appeal gods for War, the scene changes from the burning countryside around Mount Olympus to a ruined temple, upon which a shadowed Kratos stands. Zeus concludes his speech, saying, n the end, he will suffer! In the end, we will triumph! In the end…”. First trailer of the gameplay for God of War III was launched on 14^th of December. The trailer opens with Kratos saying “My vengeance is everything.” It follows with Kratos attacking a Cyclops, bats and many such creatures. In the end, Kratos is saying “everything comes to an end.”

This game is considered as most awaited sequel in the gaming world and the hardcore gamers are waiting for it desperately, so it can be concluded that God of War III will surely be a hit.

God of War III continues where the previous installment, God of War III has left. On the Gaia’s back Kratos is keen to extract vengeance from the Gods. His motive is simple to make them suffer. According to the trailers location of the Blade of Olympus is unknown. Kratos is shown Using blade at the ending of God of War II. One Question, which is still to be answered, is the battle between Gods and Titans. This battle is the only Source that can explain the end of Greek mythology. Many screenshots of the game are released for the game so far. Some showing Kratos clutching the god’s head and is about to tear it off with his bare hands. Other screenshots show Kratos on his knees with bloodied face. One confirmed weapon of Kratos is Helios’ head; this also confirms his death at an unknown point in the game. Kratos will use iron or bronze boots with wings on them. These boots will enhance Kratos’ acrobatic abilities. From this it is clear that at some points in game Kratos battles and kills Hermes, and takes his boots.

It was confirmed in an interview in February 2009 that, God of War III would be the last in the franchise. Use of Six-axis motion sensor capabilities for the interaction of game were also inproved. However, later in Game Developers Conference it was announced by Sony that the Six-axis capabilities for the game are removed. The reason developers gave was that they were unable to find an appropriate situation to use Six-axis effectively in the game. till March 23, 2009 Sony was asking current PlayStation 3 users what kind of content they want in the collector’s edition for the game. A combat game play footage was leaked on the net on March 29, 2009. Kratos was shown in the footage arriving in a balcony. Killing all the soldiers in the way, which looks like Zombies more than soldiers. Kratos then advances towards Cyclops and attacks him. After dodging a series of attacks he kills Cyclops and the rest of Zombies. From this footage one thing that goes surely is that there are many mini bosses in the game. The footage ends with the God of War III logo.

Original Atari Inc. was considered as pioneer in arcade games, home video game consoles, and home computers. The company’s main products, such as PONG and the ATARI 2600, helped define computer entertainment industry from 1970s start to mid 80s.

Atari Inc. (1972-1984)

Atari was incorporated in the state California on June 27th, 1972.

Atari’s first product to be launched commercially was Atari 2600 which was the result of Bushnell’s effort to produce a flexible video game console that was capable of playing all four Atari’s game of that time. Bushnell was well aware of the fact that bringing the machine into the market will be extremely expensive. Looking for outside investors, in 1976 Bushnell sold Atari to Warner communications for around $28- $32 million.

Under Warner’s banner Atari achieved its greatest success, selling millions of 2600’s and computers. At that time the home computer revolution was taking off, so new machines were adapted, with the audition of a keyboard and various inputs, Atari 800 was launched with its smaller cousin, the 400. Due to some reason’s they were found less attractive than Apple II. But still Atari was making amore than $2 billion per year and was the fastest growing company in the history of America. However Atari ran into problems in mid 80’s, they loss around $500 million following the famous video game crash of 83’. Adding to their wounds a small but innovative company come in their contest and soon Atari was nowhere on the gaming map. Finally in July, 1984 companies that time president James Morgan sold his stock to Jack Tramiel for $240 million in stocks who then used it to create a new company Atari corporation. Warner retained the name but sold it to Namco in1985.

Atari Corporation (1984 – 1996)

Under Tramiel’s ownership, Atari Corp. released two consoles in the year 1986—the Atari 2600jr and the Atari 7800 console. Atari rebounded, making $25 million profit that year. In 1989 Atari launched a hand held game console Atari lynx with color graphics, but unfortunately lack of parts kept the system to launch the console for the Christmas and the lynx lost to Nintendo’s game boy which only has a black and white and display but was available. Game boy proved a blockbuster and removed Atari from any of left over business. By the 1993 Atari released a 64 bit interactive media system which sold around 200,000 units. But it was not enough to keep Atari in business because market was full of competitors like Nintendo, Sony, and e.t.c.

Atari Inc., a division of Infogrames (2001 to present)

In October In October 2001 Infogrames announced about  “reinventing” the Atari brand with the launch of three new games. On May 7, 2003, Infogrames had its majority-owned, but discrete US subsidiary Infogrames NA officially renamed Atari, Inc., renamed its European operations to Atari Europe but kept the original name of the main company Infogrames Entertainment. Atari tried its level best to gain the same fame again but was not successful because this era is of techno freaks like Sony and Microsoft who shares more than 60%of gaming industry. And those consoles include cutting edge technologies like perfume synthesizer, black box and many like them.
