Monkey Island series is the most successful title for game developers Lucas Arts. In the year 1990 first game of the series was developed and it was named The secret of Monkey Island. All the games of the series ask you to roam on a 3D island and deal with several types of puzzles, in order to proceed in the game player has to solve these puzzles. Game series featured a full 3D Caribbean Ports. There are total four games in the series and Escape from Monkey Island was the last game to be released in the series in the year 2000. After waiting for nine long years anew game for the series is under development. The game is named Tales of Monkey Islands. Genre of the game is graphic adventure video game. Development is under the hands of Telltale Games in association with Lucas Arts. Tales of Monkey Island is an enhanced remake of the first game of the series The Secret of Monkey Island. Once again the game puts you in the shoes of unfortunate pirate Guybrush Threepwood, he once again tries to save his love from villain LeChuck. Along with the girl he also saves the Caribbean from a voodoo pox. All the games of the series was released for the Windows platform, however, Tales of Monkey Islands will release for both Windows and Wii. The Wii version will be released through WiiWare. Tales of Monkey Island will release in five episodic chapters on different dates, with first on 7^th July, 2009.

As all the games of the series were graphic adventure game so will be Tales of Monkey Island. Guybrush Threepwood is the protagonist of the game. He can be defined as an unlucky pirate and he is wanted. Antagonists of the game are not just some other pirates but the puzzles Guybrush must solve in order to proceed further. Puzzles of the Monkey Island series are considered as one of the most intuitive puzzles in the gaming world. For example there will be puzzles, which will require use of the items colleted by the player and puzzles with usual adventure game challenges, asking player to use all the available environmental objects to go through. Players can combine various items in the inventory to create new items. This is a new feature to the games developed by Telltale Games. You can explore the world according to the console on you are playing, for PC it will be using mouse and keyboard and for Wii it can be done using Nunchuck. Each episode is expected to be four to five hours long. Finally it will depend on the player’s skills to dealt with puzzles. For the weak players or who struggle with puzzles there will be a subtle hint system.

Tales of Monkey Island will start several years after Escape from Monkey Island. Many ole characters of the series will return. The zombie pirate LeChuck is once again active and he kidnapped Guybrush Threepwood’s wife Governor Elaine Marley. Guybrush is looking forward to finish LeChuck forever. Before going to fight LeChuck, he seeks advice from one of his old friend Voodoo Lady. Guybrush however accidentally breaks the cutlass and is now forced to create a substitute, when he stabs LeChuck. Replacement transforms LeChuck into a human and infects Guybrush with Pox of “LeChuck”. The ship explodes sending Guybrush into the sea. Now in order to kill LeChuck and save his wife Guybrush has to reverse the damage and stop the pox that is changing pirates into monsters. Five episodes for the game will be as follows
