The Grinder

Finally, after swapping up the market Wii is getting into the market of hardcore gamers. We all know most of the Wii users are soft gamers. Games released on Wii are violence free. Wii now wants some games, which will have the features of hardcore gaming like serious gunfight and little chaos. First, such will be The Grinder, a first person shooter. High Voltage Software, they are famous for their titles like Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, The Conduit and High Voltage Hot Rod Show developing the game. Quantum3 an engine which is specially developed by High Voltage Software for Wii will be used in the game. Release dates are not announced by the developers, but you may see the game to be released somewhere in the year 2010. Genre for The Grinder will be Survival Horror and First person shooter. The game will feature single player mode with multiplayer and online multiplayer. It will make use of Nunchuk, Wii Remote and Wii motion plus.

Not much information is released about the plot of the game. The Grinder will be based in a world with monsters like werewolves, zombies and vampires exist. They just don’t exist but they are part of everyday life. A contact named a Book hire an elite team and the job of the team is to keep the population in control. However, a disaster happens and the population of the monsters is suddenly more then that of the humans, from here the game is changed to survival horror. Player will control one of the four separate characters. Each of them will be have their own qualities, you can upgrade these qualities. To defeat the enemies’ player’s have to use different techniques. There will be a large inventory with lots of weapons, some of them will be dual wielding weapons.
Online multiplayer mode will make use of Wii speak. Each and every level of the game can be played in the co-operatives mode. Maximum players supported in the co-op mode are four. All of the four players engaged in the game will have multiple routes. Working on Hunter: The Reckoning High Voltage Software confirmed that The Grinder is inspired from Left 4 Dead. Another inspiration is drawn from grindhouse horror films. The engine used in the game is Quantum3 as developers want to push more and more characters on the screen. One of the major focus on the game will be to develop the game without any loading time. Fighting with Wii Remotes will be fun and dodging the enemies with the help of Wii Remotes will be helpful.
