THQ is famous for publishing wrestling games and other fighting games from different genres. The one most discussed in UFC 2009 Undisputed the one from the genre of mixed martial arts genre. One of such game is UFC Undisputed it’s from the genre of mixed martial art genre. It will have the features and the fighters of Ultimate Fighting Championship. Under the development of Yuke’s Osaka UFC Undisputed will release today in the European Union and already released in USA. It is published by THQ for the platforms of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It is the first UFC game to be released after the release of UFC Sudden impact and first game to be released under the THQ’s 2007 agreement with the UFC. On April 23, 2009 a playable demo of the game was released onto Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The demo featured a demo tutorial between Mauricio Rua and Chuck Liddell. There will be three different modes in the game as single player, online multiplayer and multiplayer mode.

This new game is described as more realistic game in the genre of mixed martial Arts simulator and from any Yuke’s pro-wrestling games. There will be more than 100 UFC personalities featuring in the game. from these personalities 80 will be fighters from all the five categories of weights. A trailer released as early as June 2008 showed some of the personalities, like non-fighters broadcasters Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan, NSAC referee Mario Yamasaki, ring girl Arianny Celeste, fight announcer Bruce Buffer, and cornerman Juanito Ibarra. Models in the game are highly detailed with over 30,000 polygons used for fighter models.

By the developers of Yuke’s Osaka 6 major primary fighting styles are involved in the game for the fighters. These are Boxing, judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, werestling, muay thai, and kickboxing. All these six styles are placed in two different categories. This will allow a characters use two of these abilities. The “Grappling” category will include Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling or judo, while the “ Standup” category will consist of boxing, muay thai or kickboxing. There is a roster, which was revealed by Gamespot, it reads as :

The May issue of the Fight Magazine, THQ highlighted some of the setbacks they faced in game’s development, that were caused because of the various clipping issues within the collision detection. The UFC star Clay Guida was removed because of the clipping issue. Southpaw stances was also removed because of the same reason. Initial reviews for the American releases of the game were good scoring 87% on the Metacritics and Game Rankings gave it 84%.
