White Gold: War in Paradise is a sequel to the famous Boiling Point: Road to Hell, which released in 2005. It was released by the name of Xenus II:  in Russia. Deep Shadows is the Game Studio behind White Gold: War in Paradise. Microsoft Windows version of the game was released on October 24, 2008. Other version of Xbox 360 will be released in summers of 2009. Game engine for White Gold: War in Paradise will be Vital Engine 3. An upcoming space simulation RPG Precursors, Deep Shadows is also run’s on Vital Engine 3.

After the success of Boiling Point Deep Shadows were looking for a game of same kind of gameplay. Their search was ended by White Gold: War in Paradise. This game will run on their in-house game engine, Vital Engine 3. Use of Vital Engine 3 is what makes White Gold: War in Paradise special and unique. Latest real-time rendering techniques are used by Vital Engine 3. This includes technique like Shader Model 3 and other post processing effects like Depth of field, Motion blur, and HDR. The physics system seems much more enhanced compared to Vital Engine 2. The gameplay includes much better handling of vehicles, and destructible objects. A new huge unified game world, which will avoid loading screens and level switching, is also included in White Gold: War in Paradise. Bugs which bring criticism to Boiling Point: Road to Hell is eradicated from White Gold.

Main protagonist of the game is a retired veteran of a special military squad. He was a soldier of the Caribbean region and is well aware of the region. On a failed mission, most of the main soldiers of his squad are killed. Only survivors include him and his friend. His friends due to shock of the mission leisurely losses his mind and the main character of the game gave himself to heavy drinking. Meanwhile a new drug is set up in Europe and South America. Identical to other drugs like heroine and cocaine this drug is much more lethal. Government of the respective areas is in shock of the sudden deaths of the younger population and realizes that life of others is also in danger. Drug mafias are condemned for this situation and Special Services send men out and receive them back dead. The government then recalls the main character of the game and offers him an un-known proposal, which he cannot refuse. After that, he finds himself on one of the many Caribbean islands and starts his investigations.

A first trailer of the game was released on February 27, 2007. From the trailers it is clear that game has better inventory, improved handling with hero is involved in fast fierce battles, weapons ranges from stealth knife to airborne machineguns. Second trailer was mostly about gameplay and was launch on October 12, 2007. Gameplay of White Gold: War in Paradise can be directly linked to he gameplay of Boling Point. It shows mixture of RPG and FPS combat. Players are given to enjoy a free roaming world, with vast opening areas, diverse weapons, and water, air, and land vehicles. Character development is the one feature altered the most. Now the game features a more advanced character development system with more flexibility than the previous versions. A new perk system is also included in the game. This will give the players freedom to customize and improve their character.

Game is based on the beautiful islands of Caribbean, but they are not as beautiful as they seems. Caribbean basin features many water-separated islands completely different to the tropical Realia of the previous game. Main motive of the protagonist of the game is to unlock many mysteries about the new synthetic narcotic drug: White Gold. But finding something like that on these socially unstable islands is not easy for him. He has to face seven different kinds of enemies; this includes Mafias, Government, Civilians, Bandits, Natives, Guerrillas and CIA operatives.
